To realise the objectives of a good life in this world, Muslims must not neglect their preparation for the hereafter. The reminder was highlighted in a special event in conjunction with the National Youth Day Celebration. The function was held last night at Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Sungai Akar.
The function began with the reading of Surah Ar-Rahman by Fatih Seferagic Al-Hafiz, an international Qari and Hafiz from United States of America. He began memorising Al-Quran full time from the age of 9 and completed the 30 juzuk of the Al-Quran by the age of 13 at the Islamic Society for Baltimore, Maryland. In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, as patron of the mosque and Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports
This was followed by the mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer.
The function ran concurrently with a dinner hosted by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports for more than 40 mosque youth in Brunei Muara District.
The talk titled 'Akhirat First' was delivered by Awang Muhammad Fatin Abdul Rahman bin Kifli, Certified Daie from Brunei Islamic Religious Council, MUIB. Apart from fostering close relations among the youth, the function also aimed to further glorify the mosque with religious activities.
