EVYD Knowledge Hub by EVYD Technology organised the Special Ministerial Conference for ASEAN Digital Public Health yesterday. The conference aimed to raise awareness on the importance of collaboration, cross-learning, research and digitalisation in empowering scientific policymaking to improve public health. With the theme 'Collaborate for a Happier and Healthier World Post Pandemic', the virtual conference took place at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
It was joined by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. The Minister of Health in a remark stated that speed and accuracy of knowledge transfer and dissemination is critical to public health emergency management.
Meanwhile, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy said that through technology, new jobs are being created as new products and services are made possible.
The conference, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Brunei Investment Agency and Temasek Foundation, highlighted the urgency for ASEAN leaders to collaborate and strategise viable as well as sustainable solutions to build resilient healthcare systems. Also joining the conference was His Excellency Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-General of ASEAN.
Meanwhile, in the afternoon, the conference among other matters discussed on the Brunei Darussalam Healthcare Digital Transformation.
