Bandar seri begawan: The Ministry of Education, through the Sports Council Secretariat, Department of Co-Curriculum Education, organized a Sports Excellence Incentive Presentation Ceremony to honor the Brunei Darussalam Schools Sports Council Contingent's achievements in the 14th ASEAN Schools Games (ASG).
According to Radio Television Brunei, the 14th ASG, hosted in Brunei Darussalam last year, was a historic event for the national contingent. The team secured its highest medal count since the inception of their participation, with a total of 18 medals, comprising 4 gold, 4 silver, and 10 bronze medals. The Incentive Presentation Ceremony was conducted on the afternoon of January 12 at the Ministry of Education.
The event was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education. The incentive awards were presented as a form of recognition for the student athletes' accomplishments at national, regional, and international competitions. This gesture also aims to encourage and motivate student athletes to continue enhancing their performance in future sports endeavors.
