Statistics For Calls Received On Fallen Trees

The Fire and Rescue Department received 64 calls for fallen tree incidents following active weather conditions warning from Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department YESTERDAY. Overall, since January to 9th July, 275 emergency calls involving fallen trees were recorded.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department statistics, Brunei Muara District recorded the highest calls of 87; followed with Belait District with 38 calls; Tutong District with 26 calls, while 24 calls were received in Temburong District.

Members of the public are reminded to avoid planting trees too near to the house and maintain distance while planting trees. Vehicles owners are also advised not to park their vehicle nearby large trees during uncertain weather conditions to avoid any unwanted incidents. For any incident, call hotline 995.
