Storycrafting for Children

In conjunction with the World Down Syndrome Day, the Engage Community in collaboration with Down Syndrome Association and Pusat Bahagia along with Single Mama Speaks and Medley House Productions held and introduced 'Storycrafting' where they bring storytelling to life. The event took place at Engage Community in Kampung Serusop.

The objectives of the event are to promote together and to enjoy the culture of reading, to encourage book-related communities and groups from different backgrounds to bring in fun and interactive activities for everyone to enjoy as well as to introduce a local folktale for the participant to experience and learn the value of Brunei's Culture and moral of the story. The event was attended by children aged between 8 to 16 from ABLE. Dayang Sallyhani binti Hazman, Chairperson of B: Read as Committee member of Engage Community said that the event helps to promote awareness on down syndrome individuals and to promote literacy.
