Mosques, Suraus and religious halls across the country continue to be glorified with the reading of Al-Quran and Sunat Tarawih and Witir prayers during the nights of Ramadhan to reap multiple rewards from Allah Subhanahu Wataala.
Last night, congregants of the Brunei International Airport's Surau performed the Sunat Tarawih prayer led by a student from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute who was selected to lead the sunat tarawih prayer at mosques, suraus and religious halls throughout the month of Ramadhan. This year, One Hundred and 2 imams comprising lecturers and teaching staff, students and graduates from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute as well as undergraduates from Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University were appointed as imams or prayer leaders for the Sunat Tarawih prayer at 62 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
Meanwhile, the Sunat Tarawih prayer at the Mohamed Bolkiah mosque in Kampung Serusop is also led by a student from the Tahfiz Institute. 12 supervisors of the Sunat Tarawih prayer imam comprising the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute's teaching staff were appointed to ensure that the prayer is performed in a proper manner.
