Bandar seri begawan: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, acknowledged the performance and progress of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad (BLNG) and Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad (BGC) during the 228th and 114th Board of Directors Meetings respectively.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty highlighted the focus on operational excellence, financial resilience, and a commitment to safety throughout the year. He emphasized the importance of the discussions over the next two days in shaping future strategies. These strategies are expected to be forward-looking and aligned with Brunei’s aspirations for sustainable growth and enhanced value creation, including strengthening competitiveness and defining innovative value pathways.
His Majesty delivered his remarks while chairing the meetings at the Prime Minister’s Office on the morning of December 8th, 2025. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by key figures such as Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah. The meetings covered critical areas like safety, operational performance, financials, manpower development, and business plans. Attendees included Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty, Shell plc, and Mitsubishi Corporation, along with management from BLNG and BGC. His Majesty is also set to chair additional meetings for Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd and Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd for the fourth quarter of 2025.
