Bandar seri begawan: Higher Education Institutions and the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, IBTE, under the Ministry of Education, conducted a Sunat Hajat Prayer, Reading of Surah Yasin, and Special Doa ceremony for the health and well-being of His Majesty. The ceremony took place at the Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event saw the presence of Doctor Awang Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, among others. A Special Doa for His Majesty's health and well-being is set to be recited daily during morning assemblies or at suitable times across all Higher Education Institutions and IBTE. This practice will also extend to officers, staff, and students from Brunei Darussalam who are overseas, commencing from the 20th of January 2026.
