Before the council heard the deliberations on the proposed allocation for the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the session approved the allocation for the Ministry of Defence. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy in his opening remarks among others, touched on the efforts made towards more extensive development of the country’s economy.
The Ministry of Finance And Economy will continue to be committed in implementing and supporting efforts that contribute to national economic development. This will be carried out through the ‘whole of government approach, the involvement of Government-linked Companies, GLCs and statutory bodies and Foreign Direct Investments, FDIs.
