Tabling Of Working Papers

Several working papers that were presented at the Brunei Darussalam Islamic Investment Summit 2017, can be fully utilised as a platform to expand knowledge and exchange ideas on financial policy and stability issues. At the same time, it provides a great opportunity to explore the dynamics and principles of Islamic finance in the country.

The working paper entitled, 'Sustainable Development Goals And Islamic Finance' delivered by Professor Doctor Abdul Ghafar bin Ismail, Professor Faculty of Economics and Islamic Finance, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA among other things explained on the challenges for Islamic Finance and the objectives of islamic law.

Yang Berbahagia Dato Mohamad Nasir bin Abdul Latif, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Investment Division, Employees Provident Fund, Malaysia, meanwhile, tabled the working paper entitled, 'Shariah Savings, EPF: Malaysia's Experience'.

The working paper entitled, 'Islamic Finance In The Digital Age' delivered by Othman bin Abdullah, Managing Director of Islamic Banking Silverlake and Director of GI Solutions Gateway Sendirian Berhad, Malaysia touched on Islamic finance in business transactions and the Islamic Finance that has been developing rapidly in the last few years. Some 50 local and foreign participants attended the presentations.
