The Tadabbur Al-Quran and Study of Turath Books Programme is meant to widen the scope of da'wah or religious propagation in the country through the mosques, spreading the Tadabbur Al-Quran and Study of Turath Books among the country's ordinary people and exposing the community to both aspects as reference in life. The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB is conducting the programme at mosques in the four districts. The da'wah programme is carried out with the cooperation of the Faculty of Usuluddin, Centre For the Study and Research of Jawi and Turath Books and Mosque Affairs Department as well as the Islamic Da'wah Centre. It was implemented simultaneously in the four districts, 7th November night.
In Temburong District, the programme was held at Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque. Tadabbur Al-Quran was delivered by Dr. Haji Adanan bin Haji Besar, Ra'es of KUPU SB. Among other things, it touched on daily dikir taught by Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and the benefits of reading Surah Al-Fatihah. The attendees included Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council and Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Hashim, Acting District Officer of Temburong.
In Brunei Muara District the programme took place at Muhammad Bolkiah Mosque in Kampung Serusop. The speaker was Doctor Abdul Rauf bin Muhammad Amin, Senior Assistant Professor, KUPU SB Faculty of Syari'ah. Da'wah was the first religious practice that Allah commanded Malaikat Jibril to teach Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam.
Muhamad Jamalul Alam Mosque in Kuala Belait was the venue of a similar session in Belait District. The talk was delivered by Doctor Harapandi Hahri. Among other matters, it called on the Muslim community to instil love towards all people and other creatures, especially between husband and wife, parents and children and other members of the family.
Meanwhile in Tutong District, the programme took place at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town. It included Tadabbur Al-Quran on Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah An-Nass by Doctor Mikdar Rusdi, Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin who underscored the benefits of Surah Al-Fatihah which is the Opening Surah of Al-Quran. Its seven verses highlight vital principles and aspects in life.
