Muslims in the world have been fasting for 12 days this Ramadhan. In Brunei Darussalam, various agencies and parties continue to carry out religious activities to enliven and glorify the holy month. One such activity was the Tadarus and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for Youth Groups of the Youth Religious Program under the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It took place at the residence of the Minister of Religious Affairs in Kampung Sungai Besar.
The ceremony began with the reading of Surah al-Fatihah led Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. It continued with the reading of Tahlil and doa arwah, followed by the breaking of the fast. Also in attendance were Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religion) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
