The Islamic Da'wah Centre yesterday also held a Tadarus Ceremony at the Hajah Aminah Religious Hall in Kampung Long Mayan, Tutong. The ceremony was held together with the breaking of fast with new converts in the district's rural area.
Awang Haji Abd Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, led the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah. The activity organised by the Converts Welfare Unit, Converts Development Division, Islamic Da'wah Centre in collaboration with the Tutong District Da'wah Unit is one of the dakwah propagation efforts to provide a closer approach in assimilating the month of Ramadhan and its rewards.
The ceremony ran concurrently with the presentation of Infaq Jariah or endowment to nine new converts from the village in the form of staple food from the proceeds of a collection by the public through the 'Projek Ikhlas 8.0' carried out by the Islamic Da'wah Centre in collaboration with National Red Crescent Association. The ceremony was followed by the reading of Tahlil and Doa Arwah as well as breaking of the fast. This was then followed with the mass fardhu maghrib and isyak prayer and ended with the mass sunat tarawih and witir prayers.
