In conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, 2nd October afternoon, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Department of Community Development, JAPEM held a Reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil Ceremony dedicated to Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien; Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit; and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim. The function took place at the Royal Mausoleum, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The reading of Surah Yasiin and Tahlil was led by Awang Abdul Hassan bin Haji Angkis, Trained Religious Teacher.
The delegation then proceeded to Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Prime Minister’s Office for a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony. The ceremony began with a mass Fardhu Asar prayer, followed by the reading of Ratib Al-Attas, Doa Kesyukuran, Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Doa to prevent COVID-19 led by Haji Mohammad Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran, Mosque Affairs Officer.
