The Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Islamic Studies Department held a Reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil for His Majesty’s late parents and son, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit AND Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji ‘Abdul ‘Azim. The ceremony in conjunction with 66 years of the implementation of Formal Religious School took place at the Royal Mausoleum, 15th September afternoon.
Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs. 300 senior officers, officers and teachers from Arabic and Religious Schools attended the event.
