Various parties including Ministries and Government Departments continue to hold Tahlil ceremonies for the late parents of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit at the Royal Mausoleum.
The Ministry of Defence and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF held such a ceremony in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan and RBAF's 57th Anniversary. Among those present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF. The reading of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah were led by Awang Haji Roslan bin Haji Sulaiman, Senior Religious Officer at the Ministry of Defence. Also present was (Retired) Captain Dato Paduka Awang Abdul Rahman bin Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Haji Bakar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.
The Ministry of Education also held a similar ceremony. The delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education. Awang Haji Muhd Azrol Alim bin Haji Zaini, the Mosque Affairs Officer led the reading of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah. Also present were Doctor Haji Azman Bin Ahmad, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Doctor Awang Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA. The ceremony was jointly organised by the Co-curriculum Development Department, Infomation, Communication and Technology Department and the Scholarship Section of the Ministry of Education.
The Tahlil ceremony was also held by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Among those in attendance was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The reading of Surah Yaasin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah were led by Awang Haji Abdul Kadir bin NC Mohammad, Arabic Language Translator and Research Officer at the History Centre. Almost 200 youths from Youth and Sports Associations nationwide attended the ceremony.
His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Office also held one such ceremony. The delegation was led by Retired Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latip, Director of His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Office. The ceremony commenced with a mass recital of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the reading of Surah Yaasin and Tahlil led by Awang Haji Muslim bin Haji Abdul Razak, Mosque Affairs Officer.
