Berlin: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, expressed appreciation for the enduring cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany, which has spanned over four decades. During a Tªte- -Tªte meeting with His Excellency Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Federal President of Germany, His Majesty highlighted the anticipation of the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-EU Relations in 2027. This meeting took place at Villa Borsig in Berlin as part of His Majesty's official visit to Germany, accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.
According to Radio Television Brunei, upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by His Excellency, after which he signed the guest book. A photo session ensued, capturing this significant diplomatic engagement. The discussions between His Majesty and His Excellency focused on reaffirming the robust friendship and cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Germany.
The two leaders acknowledged the continued progress in bilateral relations and noted an increase in cooperation across multiple sectors. During this visit, introductions were made between the delegations of both nations, further solidifying the diplomatic ties and commitment to mutual development.
