As a way to instil piety among its staff and students and to reap blessings in Ramadhan, the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, this morning held a Tausiah Ramadhan and the Opening of Tadarus Al-Quran. The event was for its members comprising of eminent officials, lecturers, other staff and students.
Doctor Haji Adnan bin Haji Basar, the Acting RAES of KUPU SB in the Tausiah Ramadhan explained the meaning of Surah Al-Fatihah as well as the benefits of reciting as daily practice the "Basmallah or Bismillah". The Acting RAES added during Ramadhan, it is best that Muslims increase their religious deeds and activities such as reading Al-Quran, keeping the night vigil in performing religious acts, and supplicating to Allah the Almighty that Muslims succeed in Ramadhan and are given the strength to perform the religious acts or deeds in the best way.
The event continued with Tadarus Al-Quran in which 300 people participated. To begin the Tadarus, the recital of Al-Fatihah was led by the Acting RAES. The Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College will also hold various Ramadhan related activities throughout the holy month. Meanwhile, Haji Muhammad Shairan bin Muhammad Sofian, the Dean of KUPU SB Students Affairs explained that Tausiah is advices and talks that remind Muslims to perform more religious activities during Ramadhan. Its objective is to glorify the fasting month and reap Allah's blessings and forgiveness.
