Teachers’ Day Conference Highlights AI in Islamic Education

Bandar seri begawan: The Teachers’ Day Conference, held in conjunction with the 35th Teachers’ Day Celebration, continued its activities on 9th October 2025. The event’s morning session focused on the theme of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic Education and took place at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Professor Dato Dr. Mohamad Fauzan Noordin, the Deputy Rector from International Islamic University Malaysia, delivered a keynote speech titled “Artificial Intelligence in Islamic Education / Malaysia Madani.” His presentation explored the integration of AI within value-based Islamic education. The event was attended by Dr. Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, the Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education. The conference also featured a “Learning Circle” session, several parallel research paper presentations, interactive workshops, and digital poster exhibitions.
