Educators are urged to remain proactive in producing teaching and learning that are effective, more disciplined, skilled, and capable of producing excellent results at their respective schools. This was highlighted by Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, at the Teachers' Day Conference in conjunction with the 27th Teachers' Day. According to him, the key to educational success is high quality teachers. He stressed that those with knowledge, skills, patience, empathy, diligence and passion can manage the job as educators.
He added that teachers are required to be more innovative and creative that can bring a significant and effective impact for the student's understanding. Apart from that, support from various stakeholders including parents is also important in producing a generation of high quality students.
The conference's theme 'Bridging The Perspective on Dynamic Teaching Excellence' is in line with the efforts of the Ministry of Education in shaping effective, innovative and creative teachers. At the conference, two presenters from Singapore presented their keynote address, and 450 people took part in the said conference.
