A 12-day training Programme on improving Technical and Vocational Education Training, TVET ended yesterday afternoon with the presentation of certificates to the participants. The training provided the participants with exposure to Integrating Entrepreneurial Skills.
Dr. Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil, the Chief Executive Officer of International Graduate Study, I.G.S., in his speech among other things said the integration of entrepreneurship into TVET curriculum would enlarge the pool of people who can potentially become entrepreneurs. He hoped that the participants find the programme intensive enough for them to be able to either use the skills and knowledge they have acquired at the centre directly in teaching and learning or to promote the idea of TVET institutions when they return to their respective organisations and countries.
During the programme, 24 participants from SEAMEO member countries were introduced to knowledge and skills on entrepreneurship, as well as identify and select pedagogies for teaching entrepreneurship. Also present was Dayang Hajah Noorzainab bin Haji Abdulladi, Acting Centre Director of SEAMEO Voctech.
