The Haj Course for 1440 Hijrah/2019 organised by the Haj Management Department through the Haj and Umrah Guidance Section began simultaneously in the four districts today. The 12-session course will be held every Friday and Sunday at selected course centres nationwide.
In Brunei Muara District, the Haj Courses are held at Lambak Kanan Religious School in Kampung Lambak Kanan; Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam Religious School, Kampung Mulaut; Pengiran Anak Puteri Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah Religious School in Berakas and Sungai Besar Religious School. The course is held every Friday and Sunday from 8:00 until 10:00 in the morning and will end on the 28th of April. This year, 33 haj facilitators and 8 supervisors were appointed comprising of officers, imams and religious teachers from the Islamic Studies Department, Mosques Affairs Department, Islamic Da'wah Centre and Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA.
The courses are an annual activity aimed at helping intending pilgrims to learn and enhance their understanding, on performing the haj in a proper manner. The course also emphasised on the need to learn the regulations enforced by the Saudi Arabian government.
