In the meantime, the Health Advice Line 148 has received more than 300 calls daily and the calls received have increased since the opening of Phase Three of the COVID-19 National Vaccination Programme, causing the line to be constantly busy. The matter was mentioned during an interview with RTB by Dayang Athirah Fakhriah binti Haji Awang Yussof, Senior Public Relations Officer who is also Head of Corporate Relations Division, Ministry of Health.
Dayang Athirah Fakhriah said the Health Advice Line is operational only during office hours including lunchtime. With the number of calls coming in causing the line to be constantly engaged, the public is hoped to be patient as the ministry has already made plans to overcome the matter. In the event that the call is unable to go through the Health Advice Line 148, the public can also call Talian Darussalam, 123.
Meanwhile, Awang Mohd Nazmi Faiz bin Haji Abu Bakar, Head of Health Advice Line 148 team shared his experience while on duty at the Health Advice Line 148.
