The dakwah and Islamic syiar or eminence movement will continue to be enhanced specifically in Temburong District, in view of the expected increase of the number of residents with the opening of the Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge. According to the Minister of Religious Affairs, the dakwah movement’s short and long term plans will be implemented in phases in line with the Temburong District development and progress. While sharing the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ plans during the Special programme, ‘Temburong: Permata Hijau Negara Brunei Darussalam’ or Temburong: Green Jewel of Brunei Darussalam, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman explained that the plans include building and upgrading the existing infrastructure including mosques, schools and other facilities such as the Muhammad Salleh Main Mosque in Bangar Town.
