The Qari and Qariah or male and female Al-Quran readers who will compete in the finals of the National Al-Quran Reading Musabaqah for Adults next week are receiving lessons designed to improve their performance. The Tarannum al-Quran workshop takes place at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong and the intensive training includes Tajwid which covers mostly phonetics, as well as melody, vocals and fluency. The finals of the Musabaqah will take place on three consecutive nights starting on Tuesday, the 28th.
