Two local male suspects have been brought to Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate’s Court for trespassing and theft cases offences in Bandar Seri Begawan. The arrest was made following a suspicious vehicle and the authority conducting a routine patrol found that the driver did not possess a driving license, expired car road tax and a suspicious drain steel believed to be stolen goods were found in the car.
According to Probationary Inspector of Police Norfaez bin Awang Sayang, Criminal and Traffic Investigation Officer of the Central Police Station, the first suspect was Samsudin bin Md Idris, aged 42 and the second was Pengiran Mohammad Kamal bin Pengiran Haji Beswani, aged 45. Both were unemployed and were facing two charges. The first offence was under section 447 for trespassing and the second was under section 379 for theft. The first suspect pleaded not guilty and was remanded in Jerudong Prison today until further mention on the 16th of June 2020. Meanwhile, the second suspect pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year imprisonment in Jerudong Prison starting today. The owners of commercial and private buildings are advised to take precautionary measure and initiative to protect their properties.
