Understanding and cooperation among the ASEAN countries help to enhance capability and involvement in this more challenging world. This is shown in the existing strong relations between the leaders of Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia, which has become the foundation for the country's future development. The matter was stated by Yang Amat Berhormat the Prime Minister of Malaysia in the Distinguished Lecture at University Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon.
Yang Amat Berhormat in his lecture titled 'Malaysia - Brunei Darussalam: Relation in the Context of ASEAN' said that Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam have many similarities from the aspects of language, religion and culture. These similarities further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Malaysia will continue providing support and cooperation in the development of Brunei Darussalam. Yang Amat Berhormat added that the relationship which covers various fields at the regional or international levels will continue to be strengthened for mutual benefit.
Yang Amat Berhormat and wife then viewed exhibition that showcases the variety of U-B-D entrepreneurs from classic business models to technology and PATEN.
Present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, the Minister of Education and Datin; as well as Datin Doctor Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz, the Vice-Chancellor of UBD.
