Tutong: Two companies in Tutong District have been issued compound fines for violations under the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021. SYARIKAT JAFRIMA SENDIRIAN BERHAD and SYARIKAT SWEE WAH ENTERPRISE SENDIRIAN BERHAD were each fined $2,000 Brunei Dollars. The companies have been given a 7-day period to settle the fines, failing which the case may be escalated to court.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the authorities have emphasized the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. The public, along with companies and business owners, are reminded to refrain from improper disposal of garbage in public spaces to avoid similar penalties.
