Undeclared Ingredient Found in Health Product from Taiwan

Bandar seri begawan: The Department of Scientific Services, Ministry of Health, has identified a health product containing an undeclared and unauthorized pharmaceutical ingredient, posing significant health risks to consumers.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the product in question, BAINIAN GINKGO NIAO SUAN WAN from Taiwan, is composed of contaminated ingredients. The usage of this product without medical supervision can lead to serious health complications such as increased blood glucose levels, diabetes, high blood pressure, cataracts, muscular and bone disorders, and a heightened risk of infections. The Ministry of Health has not approved the importation or sale of this product. The public is strongly advised to cease the consumption of this product immediately.
