Various Activities Organised To Enliven the Event

In line with its vision to become a major and dynamic media organisation in the country's development, the RTB Carnival is an effort to interact closer with the public, as well as to publicise and promote radio and television programmes. It is also meant to develop the initiatives of the local creative industry and entrepreneurs. The 6th RTB Carnival showcases various activities covering aspects such the community, sports and music. The event is open to the public from 10 in the morning to 10 in the evening.

Since its establishment, RTB has achieved positive and prideful development especially in the shift from the analogue to digital broadcasting system to provide more widespread information channels not only within the country but also in the international arena. Like other stations in the region, RTB also has a number of challenges to overcome. This has prompted the national broadcasting station to increase its efforts and take steps to ensure its employees are always creative in producing the best programmes to help the government in providing excellent services to the community of viewers and listeners.

Various activities have been arranged to enliven the Carnival including Brunei Siok, Roda Saluran, Bersama Artis, Wushu demonstration, Bermukun, Sitcom Dramas, Akulah Juara Roadshow, Visitors Quiz, Make-up Competition, Tazkirah, Generation 914 Talk, Pentas Best914, and News casting Audition. Micro, small and medium enterprises, MSMEs also take the opportunity to promote their products.

The Outside Broadcasting Unit produces live broadcast of major and national events. With the rapid development of Information and Communications Technology especially in broadcasting, Radio Television Brunei does not lag behind in using sophisticated and high technology equipment. Befitting ithe RTB motto, "Sentiasa Bersama Biskita" or Always With You, the RTB Carnival this year is customer-friendly oriented, reaching out to the public through interaction with its officers and staff. The carnival hopes more people would understand its function and role in the field of broadcasting.
