A caring and fair leader as well as active in developing the village are criteria that are highly praised by the residents of a village. The Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs stated the matter at the Village Head Appointment Certificates Presentation Ceremony of Kampung Rataie, Mukim Bokok; Kampung Puni and Batang Tuau, Mukim Bangar and Kampung Sibut and Sumbiling, Mukim Amo, Temburong District, yesterday morning.
According to Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, village heads are urged to be proactive and lead the village residents regardless of age towards the development of the village and further strive to increase the active involvement of the village youths.
The appointment certificates were presented by Awang Abdul Walid. The ceremony ran concurrently with the launching of the village head signboard at the respective village head residences.
