Viral on Social Media

An investigation has been conducted by the Royal Brunei Police Force on a photo that went viral on social media showing a vehicle that has triggered a lot of negative sentiments leading to the actions and behaviour of the driver of the vehicle.

The Royal Brunei Police Force confirmed a report had been lodged to the Berakas Police Station about the matter, and the incident was believed to be an act of road bullying. Through the investigation, the driver would face an offence under Section 506 of the Criminal Penal Code Chapter 22 which is a criminally intimidating offence that can lead to imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years or a fine, or both. And if the threat causes death or serious injury or causes destruction of property by arson or causes offences, can be sentenced to death or imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years or uttering abusive words against a woman, will be imprisoned for a term of up to 7 years or a fine or both.
