The Ministry of Religious Affairs plans to hold various activities with new converts throughout this Ramadan in efforts to strengthen their faith in Islam. This was explained by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs as the Deputy Yang Di-Pertua of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council during the visit by the ministry's delegation to Kampong Selapon in the Temburong district recently.
Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti said that the efforts planned by the Ministry of religious Affairs and Islamic Religious Councils are to guide new converts as well as the poor and destitute so that they will have more confidence in carrying out their lives in an organised and assured manner as well as having the awareness and conviction to become a citizen who is always strongly holding on to the religion in line with the dakwah objective of bringing muslims on a path that is blessed by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. Such a visit aimed to give due attention towards the welfare of new converts as well as the poor and destitute in the country aside from carrying out dakwah to the community living in the vicinity of the village.
