Following incessant rains in the last few days, three religious schools and two mosques affected by the floods in the Temburong district became the focus of a visit by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs yesterday afternoon.
Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar visited the Temburong Arabic Religious School, Pengiran Muda Mohamed Bolkiah Religious School, Bokok Religious School, Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque in Bangar town and Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar Mosque in Kampong Bokok. Also part of the delegation were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, member of the Legislative Council; Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Awang Md Amir Hairil bin Haji Mahmud, Temburong District Officer. In an interview with RTB, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom explained that the Ministry of Religious Affairs will take appropriate action to address the issues.
