Yesterday afternoon, the Agriculture business exposure program participants visited several modern-technology farms at the agriculture development area in Kilanas.
During the visits, the participants were given a short briefing on plant cultivation by using fustigation systems. Through the contract farming basis, farmers are required to allocate certain amount of capital and be focussed on a continuous and quality production according to the company or buyers standard. The company will then marketed the agricultural outputs abroad. The Agriculture business exposure programme is hope to reach its objective of producing a committed, progressive and productive youth in agriculture who will then contribute towards increasing the gross domestic product GDP in the agricultural sector.
