To encourage athletes to achieve higher performances in regional and international sports, yesterday afternoon was held the rewards presentation for winning the Sports Excellence Incentive Scheme, SPKS. The function which took place at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, was held following the achievement of athletes, coaches and National Sports Association during the 31st SEA Games, Vietnam 2021.
The rewards amounting to $33,200 were presented by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Earlier, Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in his speech stated that SPKS is a reward as well as national recognition and appreciation. Athletes who received rewards were Wushu Athlete, Awang Mohammad Adi Salihin bin Roslan, Pencak Silat athlete, Awang Md Ali Saifullah Abdullah bin Haji Md Suhaimi, 3 women’s pencak silat Athletes, Dayang Anisah Najihah binti Abdullah; Norleyermah binti Haji Raya and Dayang Nur Wasiqah Aziemah binti Rosihan.
