The academic and co-curriculum achievement of the Arabic and Religious school in Temburong District is always given due attention. The delegation from Ministry of Religious Affairs, led by Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs took a closer look at the Arabic and religious school's development in the district through a series of visit.
The work visit began at Temburong Arabic School. The school has recorded 100 percent passes in Primary School Assessment Examination (PSR). In the aspect of co-curriculum, the school is very active in school level, district office, cluster and national competition participation.
The Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs also visited the Bokok Religious School. The school has 18 teachers and 245 students comprising pre-school to primary 6. The school achieved an excellent achievement of 89 point 1-9 percent passes in Religious Primary School Certificate Examinations. Also joining the delegation was Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Awang Haji Rusli bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Acting Assistant Director (Corporate Service) at the Islamic Studies Department in an interview with RTB said, the Arabic and religious schools in Temburong District has recorded an increase of 18 point 5-2 percent with 5 students obtaining 5 grade A from the previous year. The district also achieved 100 percent pass with 27 students obtaining grade A to C. While, the Primary Religious Schools Certificate Examination, SSSRU 2016 also recorded 94 percent pass compared to 87 percent in 2015.
