Bandar seri begawan: The topics for four ministries, including the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Health, were voted on and approved during the seventh day sitting of the First Meeting of the 22nd Session of the Legislative Council. Before approving the topics, the Council first heard the Committee of Supply debate for the topics under the Prime Minister's Office, which included the workforce development KPI and strengthening electrical supply infrastructure.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the discussion emphasized providing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are more strategic to assist in the holistic development of the energy sector. The implementation of Wawasan Brunei 2035 using a Performance Matrix was also highlighted as a crucial step forward.
Efforts to strengthen the electrical supply infrastructure in the Temburong District were another focal point of the debates. The discussions underscored the need for a strategy to ensure that the public service continues to operate effectively and efficiently. Additionally, the placement of high voltage cables near residential areas was identified as an issue that requires review to ensure safety and community well-being.
