Working Hours Update

By the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Prime Minister’s Office hereby informs that as of Friday 13th of August 2021, the hours of operation, physically at the office or work from office for all ministries and public service agencies, and statutory bodies is the same as the hours customarily implemented every year during the month of Ramadhan. The matter was shared by the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy.

Yang Berhormat said the additional effort is to reduce entry and exit, to and from the office for those who are required to be at the office physically. This will in turn reduce the risk of infection and provide additional protection to essential workers.

The update on the working hours is part of efforts to the methods introduced in the Business Continuity Plan. To-date, those that have been activated specifically the implementation of the flexible working arrangement, with the blended work from home, and work from office method. This will also reduce the need for manpower to be physically present in the office at any one time. However, the control measures mentioned are only temporary until a date to be announced later.
