Working Visit by Delegates of the Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, Republic Of Indonesia

To strengthen relations between the Brunei Darussalam Legislative Council and the Republic of Indonesia's Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, the Speaker of the Legislative Council, this morning received a visit from Yang Berhormat Doctor Haji Bambang Sadono, Deputy Chairman of the Capacity Building Institute, Dewan Perwakilan Daerah Republic of Indonesia.

The visit took place at the Dewan Majlis Building at Jalan Dewan Majlis. The delegation from the Republic of Indonesia, comprise 4 members of the Dewan Perwakilan Daerah and 4 officers from the Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, as well as Arko Hananto Budiadi, Charge d'Affairs of the embassy of Indonesia to the country. Among those present were Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary of the Cabinet Ministers Council as the Clerk to the Legislative Council as well as a number of Legislative Council members and senior officers of the Councils Department.

The visit's agenda include a dialogue session with the members of the Legislative Council. The session was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Sabtu, Legislative Council member. Such a working visit is a platform for the two parties to exchange multi-lateral views in general as well as in the aspect of the duties and responsibilities of the appointed members from districts, specifically.
