The United Nations' International Youth Day is held every 12th of August to celebrate the achievements of the world's youth and to encourage their participation in enhancing society. In conjunction with the celebration, SOSRO Brunei organised a mass workout session yesterday morning at the Bandarku Ceria event in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The theme for the United Nations International Youth Day, "Safe Spaces For Youth" called an action to empower youth in each country that need safe spaces where they can come together, engage in activities related to their diverse needs and interests, participate in decision making processes and freely express themselves. Safe spaces enable the youth to engage in governance issues; while public spaces gives the youth the opportunity to participate in sports and other leisure activities in the community.
