Workshop on UNDP’s Role

The Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the first time became the co-hosts of the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP for a workshop on the programme’s role in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG. The virtual workshop held yesterday also aimed to explore opportunities that are beneficial for Brunei Darussalam, especially in the area of SDGs’ implementation.

Joining the workshop were Pengiran Hajah Siti Nirmala binti Pengiran Haji Mohammad, Permanent Secretary for Vision, Finance and Cabinet, Prime Minister’s Office as Chairperson of the Special National Coordination Committee on the Sustainable Development Goals Brunei Darussalam, and Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Briefings the experience in supporting the implementation of the SDGs were presented by UNDP and country associates from Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines. The workshop also included a briefing which highlighted Brunei Darussalam’s achievements in implementing the SDGs so far.
