Youth Entrepreneurship Plenary, themed "Innovation Economy: Entrepreneurship in the Digital Era" conducted by Young Entrepreneurs Association Brunei, YEAB and Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry was a talk series, aimed to serve as a platform for discussion on entrepreneurship innovation and the economy amongst the youth and entrepreneurs. The plenary in conjunction with the National Youth Day Celebration was held this afternoon at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
In attendance were Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Permanent Secretary for Administration, Finance and Estate at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Retired Colonel Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Youth and Sports at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The discussions featured invited young entrepreneurs behind successful startups including Bukalapak which is one of Indonesia's largest e-commerce companies. Muhammad Fajrin Rasyid, Co-Founder and President of Bukalapak shared the Bukalapak history which was founded in 2010 by three young technology enthusiasts.
Two Sessions titled "Solution Driven Generation: Turning Challenges into Innovation", highlighted innovative initiatives undertaken by young entrepreneurs and "Resilience in Business: Overcoming Challenges in the Digital Era", a dialogue session with entrepreneurs who have gone through various challenges in business and made it out stronger were also shared at the Plenary. More than 100 participants attended the Youth Entrepreneurship Plenary where they had the opportunity to share and interact with panellists.
