Youth Get-Together and Assembly

The Youth Get-together and Assembly provided an added value to the National Youth Day celebration, which focuses on leadership and entrepreneurship. 34 youth entrepreneurs who have achieved excellence, and youth entrepreneurs who have explored new industries in the field of entrepreneurship who were featured at the assembly also caught His Majesty's attention.

During the Youth Get-together and Assembly, His Majesty received junjung ziarah from members of organisations and uniformed associations.

Accompanying His Majesty were His Majesty's sons and brothers,

-His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office;

-His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik;

-His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; And

-His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.

Themed "Success", the Youth Get-together and Assembly showcased two main components namely the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Exhibition and the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Exhibition.

One of the Youth Enterprise being featured was the Katimahar Agri Park by a Kampung Katimahar resident, who runs a business on ATV vehicles for outdoor activities, which have gained in popularity.

Youths in the country continue to move forward in various fields including in entrepreneurship and volunteerism. They are not afraid to come forward to heed His Majesty's titah to always work hard in order to build on the perfect personality, education and ability, and at the same time, instil awareness on religion, family, society and country.

The Entrepreneurship and Leadership Exhibition focuses on several clusters including the Agriculture sector, Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Service Provision, Information, Medical, Education and Fashion. The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Exhibition, meanwhile, highlights the measures taken by His Majesty's government in assisting youths to become successful entrepreneurs.

His Majesty's presence will certainly encourage youths to fulfil the high hopes placed on them. This includes their meaningful contribution to the development and growth of the race and country, which also prepares them to become valuable assets for the country.

Perusahaan Keropok Aneka Rasa Seri Pekatan is also one of the successful small and medium enterprises. The company has successfully distributed crackers of various flavours to convenience stores and supermarkets in the country.

Perusahaan Madu Manggaris is another local enterprise which continues to grow. The honey are made from real 100 percent honey.

His Majesty consents to launch the I-Usahawan Programme. The programme aims to assist young entrepreneurs to start and grow their business. The Ecosystem exhibition is a collaboration between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Energy (Energy and Manpower) and Industry as well as stakeholders.

A violin and guitar performance by 2 children from YIPPY Tune Music School caught His Majesty's attention. His Majesty playing the piano also provided a pleasant surprise to those present. Before leaving the ceremony, His Majesty consented to sign a commemorative parchment and receive a pasambah.

The National Youth Day celebration shows how His Majesty's government is always attentive to the development of youth in the country. His Majesty's presence is also a sign of His Majesty's respect and care, and provide encouragement for youths to always work hard in contributing their energy and devotion to the country in order to achieve Wawasan Brunei 2035. The National Youth Day, which is celebrated on the 1st of August each year, is an annual event organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, as a recognition and appreciation towards youth movements in the country.
