Operasi Pulih’ Continues From 18 – 31 October 2021

By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and taking into account the COVID-19 situation which has still not shown a downward trend, the Prime Minister’s Office informed that the ‘Operasi Pulih’ control measures are extended. The Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy during the media conference stated that it is extended for another 14 days from Monday the 18th of October until Sunday the 31st of October 2021.

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said that the extension of ‘Operasi Pulih’ is to ensure the safety and well-being of all parties by reducing movement towards curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country. In addition, the effectiveness of the control measures will be seen after the virus’s two full incubation period which is four weeks. He added that since the operation were carried out ten days ago, many things have been learned. The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam expressed appreciation to all parties in general as well as the citizens and residents of the country for their patience in continuing to comply with the health directives and restrictions in jointly curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
