The ‘Exit and Entry System’, EES Service Charges

The main objective of the ‘Exit and Entry System’, EES Service Charges, Royal Customs and Excise Department is to coordinate the charges imposed on individuals entering and exiting Brunei Darussalam by land, sea and air. According to the Senior Customs Superintendent, Belait and Tutong District Branch, with the Service Charge, the Rasau Toll, is abolished. The charged rate is 3 Brunei dollars per person for each one-way trip.

Dayang Nurul Hayyadatul Amra Binti Abu Bakar, gave the example with an individual travelling from Limbang to Kota Kinabalu will have to go through 3 control posts namely Kuala Lurah Control Post, Ujong Jalan Control Post Complex and Labu Control Post. For a one way trip, the charge will be a total of 9 Brunei Dollars for the three control posts and 18 Brunei Dollars for a return trip.

The updated EES includes the EES account registration process, complete the information of the individuals who are travelling, and make the Service Charge payment via online.

The Royal Customs and Excise Department will continue to monitor for issues related to the EES and will make improvements to the system to ensure that it is easy to use.
