12th East Asia Security Outlook

The East Asia's strategic trends and outlook as well as the impact of the evolving security environment to ASEAN and Brunei Darussalam in particular were discussed at the 12th East Asia Security Outlook, EASO Seminar. The seminar organised by the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Ministry of Defence took place at Royal Brunei Armed Forces Defence Academy in Kampung Tanah Jambu.

Present was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This year, the seminar looked into East Asia's strategic trends and outlook as well as the impact of the evolving security environment to ASEAN and Brunei Darussalam in particular.

The annual seminar which was held since 2009 provides a platform for discussion among defence and security officials on regional defence, strategic and security related issues. Also present, Haji Amiruddin bin Haji Mohammad Hassan, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence and Ampuan Yura Kasumawati binti Dato Paduka Haji Adnan, Acting Director Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies, Ministry of Defence.
