2 National Contingents Won Silver Medals through Wushu Event

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Bini Hajah Faizah binti Dato Haji Nasir watched the Wushu event which took place at the World Trade Centre in Manila, Philippines. In the event, the country's contingent collected two silver medals through the Wushu Tajiquan event.

The country's first silver was won by Basma Lachkar through the women's Taijiquan. Basma ended her performance with 9 point 5-6 points. While the gold medal was won by the host country athlete, Agatha Chrystenz with 9 point 6-7 points and bronze was won by Thi Minh Huyen from Viet Nam with 9 point 53 points.

The country's second silver medal was won through the Men's Taijiquan event. The national representative, Hosea Wong Zhe Yu ended his performance with 9 point 59 points. Malaysian athlete, Choon How Loh won the gold with 9 point 68 points and bronze was won by the host country athlete, the Philippines, Daniel Latawan with 9 point 56 points.

Also present was Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
