Some 31 candidates comprising Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru)’s senior managers and participants from the Talent Pool Programme will be undertaking the TelBru Leadership Development Programme a one-year leadership development programme launched yesterday by TelBru at the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club’s Grandstand 3.
Present as the guest of honour to launch the programme was Dato Paduka Haji Hisham bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Permanent Secretary (Policy and Investment) at the Ministry of Finance, in his capacity as TelBru Chairman.
The programme essentially displays TelBru’s commitment to continuously upgrade the skills and knowledge of managers, particularly for them to keep in line with the continuous evolution of technology and environment.
Prior to the official launching ofthe programme, TelBru Chief Executive Officer (CEO) David Kay in his welcoming remarks, said the content of the one-year programme has been “developed in partnership with some of the leading organisations in the region” and upon completion, participants of the programme will be certified by Asia’s first online university in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, TelBru will be sending four of its staff members to participate in the first Regional Talent Development Programme, a six to 12-month-long programme in which two staff members will be attached with the Philippines Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) and the other two with Telekom Malaysia (TM).
The programme will enable the four to expand their technical, professional and cross-cultural experiences alongside middle managers from across the region – all in line to develop their career growth.
Present at the event yesterday were members of the board of directors, chief officers, general managers and the senior management of TelBru.
