Gadong: 41 Primary 6 students of the Brunei International Religious School were celebrated in a Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony held at a hotel in Gadong on the afternoon of June 25th. The event marked a significant milestone for the students as they completed the reading of the 30 Juzuk Al-Qur’an.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Dayang Hajah Mariana binti Haji Jamil, Acting Director of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This was followed by the Khatam Al-Qur’an performed by the students. The ceremony aimed to recognize the students’ dedication and encourage them to incorporate Al-Qur’an into their daily lives.
